We are now looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join our Finance Team on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is the perfect opportunity for a proven finance business partner from a not-for-profit or commercial background with a great leadership style to support our influential organisation.

The Role

As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will set the strategic financial direction for the institution whilst ensuring good financial management.

Specifically, you will oversee management accounts and planning processes and monitor financial information against the business plan. You will ensure that budget holders are supported and enabled in their roles, providing advice, challenging where required and making sure best practice is followed.

As a people manager, you will oversee, motivate and develop your team, whilst leading financial activities and developing the partnering function to ensure success across the organisation.

You will also provide support for finance-related technology and IT applications, supporting change management and system development, and play a vital role in procurement and supplier management.

About You

To be considered as a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will need:

- Proven experience in finance business partnering in a not-for-profit organisation or commercial environment
- Staff management experience in a multi-site and/or hybrid working environment
- The ability to influence, communicate and engage with a wide range of people to obtain required information in a timely and diplomatic manner
- A problem-solver with commercial acumen, intellectual curiosity and a desire to find better ways of achieving goals
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data simply and provide focused feedback in a clear manner
- A self-starter with the initiative and drive to deliver results and make a difference, setting goals and monitoring progress effectively
- An inclusive team player who treats everyone with respect
- A growth mindset and focus on impact and delivery excellence

The Benefits

- Salary of circa £70,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Hybrid working with a minimum of two days per week required in the office

We are now looking for a Projects, Events and Engagement Lead to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As our Projects, Events and Engagement Lead, you will take the helm in managing the design and delivery of inspiring, high-impact projects and events that showcase the value of engineering in society.

Acting as a connector across teams, members, and partners, you will work with others to create meaningful engagement opportunities that celebrate innovation, influence education, policy, and raise IMechE’s profile as a thought leader in the sector.

You will manage a diverse portfolio of projects and events, from prestigious lectures and awards ceremonies to policy launches and webinars, ensuring each is expertly planned, strategically aligned, and delivered to the highest standard.

Working closely with internal colleagues and external partners, you will oversee logistics, co-ordinate speakers, and manage budgets, ensuring every project runs smoothly and delivers measurable impact.

Additionally, you will:

- Support the Policy and Impact team in developing programmes
- Track event performance, reporting on engagement and outcomes
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, EDI, and data protection policies

Internally, this role will be known as Impact Projects Lead.

About You

To be considered as our Projects, Events and Engagement Lead, you will need:

- Experience in event management (face-to-face, hybrid, and online)
- Experience working in a membership, professional body, or not-for-profit environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce correspondence and customer-facing copy to a consistently high standard
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with experience working with diverse stakeholders
