We are now seeking a Marketing Executive to join our team in London and help promote two of our sub-brands, which exist to secure financial underpinnings to deliver Learned Society activities for the engineering community.

The Role

As a Marketing Executive, you will perform a range of marketing activities to promote our training and venue hire services.

Working across two key branches of the IMechE Group, you will support IMechE Learning & Development, our training sub-brand, and One Birdcage Walk, the brand responsible for the venue hire of spaces in our beautiful Westminster headquarters.

Working closely with the Commercial Learning & Development and Venue Hire teams, you will develop an understanding of their requirements and implement campaigns that appeal to audiences and deliver commercial objectives.

Specifically, you will:

- Help to drive the annual marketing and digital strategy across B2C and B2B channels
- Create and implement high volume, multi-channel marketing campaigns
- Manage the production and distribution of all promotional materials and copy
- Help to plan, prepare and schedule email marketing and social media posts
- Monitor the impact of marketing initiatives

About You

To join us as a Marketing Executive, you’ll need:

- Previous marketing experience
- Experience of creating or managing multichannel campaigns
- Proven experience of applying marketing tactics to generate leads
- Experience using email marketing and content management systems
- A highly creative approach with experience in identifying target audiences

Experience of managing email, social media and advertising channels It would be desirable if you have training or events experience. It would be advantageous if you have a degree in Marketing, Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools would be beneficial to your application, as would experience in setting up and optimising Google PPC campaigns. Demonstrable experience of brand application through online and offline channels would also be an advantage.

The Role

As a Divisions & Groups Executive, you will be responsible for committee management and administration to ensure efficient and effective committee and departmental operations.

You will support projects and initiatives to ensure member volunteers focus on the deliverables, improve the volunteering experience, and recognise and reward volunteer contributions to the Institution’s objectives. You will join a close-knit team and work closely with senior members of our organisation to deliver high-quality services.

Contributing to the development of member volunteers, you will ensure they have access to a full suite of digital tools the IMechE offers. You will also support volunteers to receive any required training and help them with troubleshooting.

Additionally, you will:

- Organise and co-ordinate virtual and/or physical meetings
- Manage budgets, process invoices and accurately record expenditure
- Support the implementation of project plans to deliver key objectives
- Maintain accurate member records and data
- Plan recruitment campaigns, including briefing packs and inductions for new volunteers
- Act as central point-of-contact for internal and external enquiries
- Develop productive and sustainable relationships with stakeholders
- Producing end of year forecasts when required

About You

To join us as a Divisions & Groups Executive, you’ll need:

- Minute taking experience
- A good level of IT literacy and competence, including the use of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Superb people and relationship management abilities
- An empathetic, organised and proactive approach

Experience of working in a membership organisation or the volunteer sector would also be beneficial to your application.

We are now looking for a Deputy Chief Examiner to join our British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) authorised qualifying body and step up into an exceptional role.

The Role

As the Deputy Chief Examiner, you will take on a key, vital role within our NDT examination process.

Reporting directly to the Chief Examiner, you will mark exam papers submitted by highly qualified and senior-level individuals. You will ensure that we conform to BINDT and Personnel Certification in Non-Destructive Testing (PCN) requirements, as well as the requirements of other certification schemes, such as The American Society of Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT) and the Institute of Corrosion (ICorr).

Facilitating the examination process, you will act as an invigilator, mark exams and liaise with our approved examination centre training partners.

You will also:

- Allocate and control examination papers to appropriate markers in line with scheme requirements
- Manage and continually review PCN and ICorr exam sample stock
- Support and take part in audit QA processes associated with CP08 and CP09
- Occasionally act as an NDT Trainer and deliver courses you are qualified to teach in
- When required and permitted, undertake travel
- Provide cover for the Chief Examiner when required

About You

To join us as a Deputy Chief Examiner, you will need a range of PCN level 3 qualifications, including:

- Ultrasonic Testing – Welds experience
- A track record of working both independently with strong accountability and within a team to deliver outputs to plan
- Excellent people and relationship management skills
- A high level of IT literacy, including the ability to use PCs and associated networks and systems (e.g. MS Office) to find, manipulate and distribute information

About You

- Proven administration and customer service experience
