We are now seeking a Conference Producer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As a Conference Producer and as part of a cross-functional team, you will be tasked with developing highly topical event programmes which will deliver technical knowledge and drive attendance at the Institution’s conferences, seminars, and other events. The delivery of these events will range from face-to-face, virtual to hybrid formats.

You will be a flexible, confident, and knowledgeable communicator, so as to drive successful promotion and delivery of events.

Additionally, you will:

- Interact closely with key internal and external stakeholders on event proposals, providing regular and timely updates on the timelines and development of those events
- Identify, develop, and generate topics new to the Institution’s event programme with an aim to address key industry issues and increase events attendance and engagement
- Validate topics and business cases through market research without losing sight of potential risks
- Conduct market research through various formats (including telephone, face-to-face and video conferencing) to ensure relevance and technical accuracy and drive attendance
- Acquire high quality speakers and design programmes that meets KPIs and quality standards
- Generate marketing copy which will drive interests, enquiries and bookings
- Write marketing and, where appropriate, sponsorship briefs, identifying key stakeholders
- Manage onsite speaker liaison and ensure smooth and quality delivery of event programme

About You

As a Conference Producer, you will need:

- A strong research skills, with the ability to conduct in-depth research over the telephone or through face-to-face and virtual meetings
- An ability to rapidly develop competent knowledge in diverse and highly technical topics
- To be able to break down, read and work through complex concepts
- To be able to analyse ideas from both commercial and knowledge-focused perspectives
- To possess strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to deliver through various communication channels
- Good time-management skills and an ability to manage priorities
- Proficiency in IT, including in Microsoft Office suite

A track record in commercial B2B conference production would be beneficial to your application, as would a degree level qualification (or equivalent).

Experience of producing technical event programmes in a technical/STEM area would also be advantageous.

The Role

As an Events Executive, you will deliver our portfolio of face-to-face, in-person and hybrid events, comprising conferences, seminars, webinars and lectures.

Managing end-to-end event operations, you will co-ordinate venue and supplier negotiations, relationship management, budgeting, stakeholder liaison, onsite delivery and customer experience.

You will oversee and manage the build-up, live event and break down, assuming full responsibility for all staff on-site and ensuring the event runs on time and the optimal customer experience is provided.

Additionally, you will:

- Act as the main point of contact for speakers, sponsors, venues, suppliers and delegates
- Arrange staff travel and accommodation
- Submit invoices for payment and request cost reports

About You

To be considered as an Events Executive, you will need:

- To be familiar with events operations processes
- To be a proven creative thinker, with a solid, solutions-driven attitude
- Outstanding time management and prioritisation skills
- The ability to get the most out of budgets to achieve targets and maximise value
- A customer focused approach
- Excellent communication skills with people at all levels of seniority
- The ability to get the best rates from suppliers in order to obtain good value without compromising on quality
- The ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team
- A detail-oriented approach

Familiarity with the legal and legislative requirements of operating events would be beneficial to your application, as would a degree level qualification (or equivalent).

Experience working with a volunteer workforce and/or in a membership organisation would also be advantageous, as would the ability to sell original ideas to managers and stakeholders.

We are now looking for a Level 3 Consultant, Trainer and Examiner to join us on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role

As a Level 3 Consultant, Trainer and Examiner, you will provide a high standard of consultancy, training, examination and certification services in various non-destructive testing (NDT) and materials evaluation methods.

Specifically, you will deliver contracted Level 3 consultancy services to ensure our clients’ NDT facilities comply with industry standards by undertaking regular on-site audits and through frequent dialogue.
Additionally, you will deliver a high-calibre of training to students in NDT evaluation methods, preparing them for examination and/or certification schemes as necessary.

You will also:

- Document audit findings to produce clear, concise audit reports
- Deliver training in multiple certification schemes, such as SNT-TC-1A, EN 4179, NAS 410 or PCN
- Invigilate and mark examinations to a consistent level
- Build client relationships to enable new revenue streams
- Develop and approve NDT procedures, written practices and NDT techniques

About You

To be considered a Level 3 Consultant, Trainer and Examiner, you will need:

- Substantial industrial NDT experience, including extensive knowledge of your own subject area
- NDT method Level 3 certifications across either ASNT NDT Level III or EN4179/NAS410 (minimum of two NDT Level 3 method certifications)
- Proven experience of providing solutions to clients’ NDT inspection related problems, with the ability to assume full technical responsibility for clients’ NDT facilities
- The ability to work well with students of all ages and backgrounds
- The ability to teach complicated physics and mathematical-based NDT concepts and techniques
- The ability to plan and deliver coursework, training materials and audit reports
- Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
- To be willing to train and upgrade personal certifications to ASNT NDT Level III, EN4179/NAS410 Level 3 or PCN Level 3
- Excellent computer skills
- Full, valid driving licence
