We’re now looking for a Website Design and Content Manager to join our team in a home-based capacity for an initial contract until the 31st December 2020 with the potential to become a full time role for the right candidate.

The Role

As the Website Design and Content Manager, you will be tasked with designing and delivering an enhanced website that represents and conveys the vision and values of the IMechE.

In this dual role, you will also work with partners and stakeholders to deliver content that supports and promotes our products and services as well as providing the latest updates and information regarding the institution.

Specific areas that you will be involved in are:

- Developing the Dynamics portal that supports events, membership applications and the qualifications checker
- Rebranding our commercial business page for One Birdcage Walk (our conference centre)
- Rebuilding our monitored professional development scheme

Your role will also involve:

- Working as part of a small, passionate team
- Collaborating with the IT, Engineering, Communication and Marketing Teams
- Liaising with the Engineering Policy Unit, institution members and freelance journalists to create content
- Developing and delivering an outstanding web experience for everyone

About You

To be considered as the Website Design and Content Manager, you will need:

- Experience in web design delivery and IT applications associated
- Experience of HTML, CSS, jQuery, Webflow, and Photoshop, Illustrator and/or InDesign
- Project management experience, working with contractors
- Previous experience in a business setting of using a prototyping package such as Figma, Illustrator or InDesign
- Accuracy with good attention to detail and the ability to produce correspondence and documents with good written English

About Us

IMechE Argyll Ruane (IAR), part of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), is the leading global provider of non-destructive testing and inspection services.

Based in our multi-million pound Engineering Training Centre in Sheffield, we offer a range of inspection and non-destructive testing training courses, examinations and consultancy services.

We are currently looking for an Office Administrator to join our team in Sheffield on a part-time basis, working Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.

The Role

As an Office Administrator, you will play a key role in our examinations process, providing vital support to students and our examinations office.

Hitting the ground running, you will co-ordinate work and examinations between candidates, companies, exam centres and the awarding body, particularly regarding enquiries, exam bookings and requirements.

A major element of your role will be to process examination result notices and issue these to the relevant parties.

Additionally, you will assist our Exam Co-ordinators and act as an invigilator for candidates conducting non-destructive testing exams. For this face-to-face element, full PPE will be provided, however you will need to be comfortable working in this capacity.

About You

To be considered as an Office Administrator, you will need:

- Administration experience gained within a busy office environment
- A strong level of IT literacy
- The ability to hit the ground running and pick up new skills and systems quickly
- A team player mentality with the ability to work on your own initiative
- A flexible approach to working hours
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Confidence when working in a face-to-face capacity

Knowledge of Access databases or a similar database would be beneficial to your application. Customer service experience would also be highly desirable.
