We are now seeking a Part-Time Facilities Assistant to join our team on an 18 month fixed term contract, at One Birdcage Walk, one of London’s most beautiful Victorian buildings and the home of IMechE.

The Role

As a Facilities Assistant, you will undertake a wide range of general duties throughout One Birdcage Walk to support the smooth running of the Institution.

Providing a first line facilities support service, you will be involved in everything from preparing meeting rooms and restocking consumables to dealing with last minute client requests.

Taking a reactive approach to incoming service requests, your role will also involve:

- Providing excellent customer service to all visitors, employees and tenants
- Preparing meeting rooms
- Acting as the first point of contact for emergency building-related situations
- First line maintenance activities
- Escorting and supervising visitors
- Assisting with emergency provision tests and acting as a fire warden

About You

To join us as a Facilities Assistant, you will need:

- Experience in a similar role, including experience of setting up meeting rooms
- Experience of working in customer-focused environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- To be organised, able to prioritise and work to deadlines

A First Aid Certificate would be beneficial to your application however, this is not essential as training will be provided. Experience in basic carpentry, electrical and plumbing and repair of minor defects would also be advantageous.

This is a part-time role working 25 hours per week, 2pm to 7pm, Monday to Friday. However, there is potential for additional hours outside normal working hours, and to participate in the out of hours on call rota, with occasional weekend work.

Please note: Part of this role will involve frequent lifting of light to moderate weights.

As the Group Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the production and approval of all consolidated internal and external reporting and statutory accounts.

We are currently looking for a Level 3 Consultant, Trainer and Examiner to join our team and play a key role in the delivery of NDT training solutions.

The Role

As a Level 3 Consultant, Trainer and Examiner, you’ll deliver a range of consultancy, training, examination and certification services in the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) disciplines you are qualified in.

You will deliver contracted Level 3 consultancy services to ensure NDT facilities comply with industry standards, such as ASME and NADCAP via regular on-site audits and frequent dialogue.

Additionally, you will:

- Document all findings to produce clear, concise audit reports
- Deliver training in multiple certification schemes, such as SNT-TC-1A, EN 4179, NAS 410 or PCN
- Invigilate and mark examinations to a consistent level
- Build client relationships to enable new revenue streams
- Develop and approve NDT procedures, written practices and NDT techniques

About You

To join IMechE Argyll Ruane as a Level 3 Consultant, Trainer and Examiner, you will need:

- Extensive industrial NDT experience, including extensive knowledge of your own subject area
- NDT method Level 3 certifications across either ASNT NDT Level III or EN4179/NAS410 (minimum of two NDT Level 3 method certifications).
- Proven experience of providing solutions to clients’ NDT inspection related problems, with the ability to assume full technical responsibility for clients’ NDT facilities
- The willingness to train and upgrade your personal certification to ASNT NDT Level III, EN4179/NAS410 Level 3 or PCN Level 3, as well as train and learn new methods as required.
- To be e-literate and competent in developing, administering and using PC and associated networks and systems (e.g. Microsoft Office) and accounting packages to acquire, manipulate and disseminate information
- A full, valid driving licence
- Strong communication skills and the creativity to plan and deliver lessons in a professional, positive and engaging manner
