We are now looking for a Risk Executive to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As our Risk Executive, you will ensure the application of best practice for compliance and risk management across the organisation.

Assisting the Risk Manager, you will proactively identify, report and mitigate risks, monitoring compliance with external, legal and regulatory obligations on our risk management system, and support users on the platform.

You will act as the first point of contact for all Data Protection enquiries and requests, ensuring they are addressed in a timely manner, and champion best practice of data protection across the organisation.

Additionally, you will:

- Provide administrative support to the Audit and Risk Committee, including minute taking, arranging meetings and circulating documents
- Ensure all staff are completing their annual GDPR training
- Plan and implement regular auditing for GDPR compliance
- Develop annual gap analysis reports
- Assist with the renewal of all annual insurance policies

About You

To be considered as our Risk Executive, you will need:

- A good working knowledge of the GDPR regulation and compliance requirements, including breach regulations and procedures
- A good understanding of change and/or project management methodologies
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data simply and provide feedback in a clear manner
- Outstanding organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills

We are now looking for an IT Support Engineer to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As an IT Support Engineer, you will provide 1st and 2nd line technical assistance to end-users within IMechE.

Delivering excellent customer service to all users, you will troubleshoot hardware and software issues and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and support across our organisation.

You will identify and resolve technical problems using appropriate tools and resources, responding to and assisting users by fielding incoming support requests via phone, email and ticketing system.

Additionally, you will:

- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, printers and other IT peripherals
- Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory and Office 365 Admin Centre
- Provide an IT introduction for new staff
- Maintain accurate records of support tickets, resolutions and user interactions
- Support Audio-Visual systems

About You

To be considered as an IT Support Engineer, you will need:

- Experience in a service desk or 1st and/or 2nd line support role
- Good customer service skills

You will also need an awareness, and willingness and commitment to develop good working knowledge, of:

- Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Mac OS
- Office 365 App suite
- Active Directory including Azure AD, Group Policy, Intune and Endpoint Manager
- Sophos Anti-virus and Microsoft Defender 365 suite
- Mimecast or other SaaS email security services
- Mobile device support and management including IOS and Android devices
- Audio visual and live event systems, such as Logitech, Shure and live PA
- Remote support software, such as Team Viewer and Splash Top

Please note, you must be willing and able to undertake a reasonable amount of travel to help support IMechE Events which may require occasional overnight stays and work outside regular office hours.
